What is EMDR?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy ​is a structured approach that helps individuals process and resolve ​traumatic or disturbing thoughts and memories. During sessions, ​clients focus on distressing memories while engaging in guided ​eye movements or other forms of bilateral stimulation. This helps to ​reduce the emotional charge of the memories, allowing for ​healthier processing and integration, leading to reduced ​symptoms of trauma and improved emotional well-being.
